Third Text: images + media 03
Introduction
The School of Creative Media (SCM) proudly presents Third Text: images + media, an annual festival featuring the cutting edge of experimental cinema and media art works around the globe. Organized by the School of Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong, Third Text welcomes artists who challenge conventional standards in search of visionary and creative expressions.

The festival will focus on experimental cinema, digital animation, web-based art and media installation. It is intended to be a weeklong event that includes screenings, exhibition and a seminar.

Eight international film/video programs are planned for the upcoming 2003 edition. All the screenings will take place at the Hong Kong Film Archive between May 30th and June 2nd. In addition to the international panoramas, an additional screening will feature recent and exciting works by School of Creative Media alumni. Additional web-based art and media installation will be hosted and featured at the exhibition space at the School of Creative Media.

This year we will feature works by Michael Snow, Phil Solomon, Lewis Klahr, Janie Gesier, Scott Stark, Dietmar Offenhuber, Shiho Kano, Peter Tscherassky, Jamsen Law, Jimpunk, Jennifier and Kevin McCoy and many other internationally-renowned media artists.

All events are free for the general public. By addressing a diversity of disciplines and approaches in contemporary media art-making, Third Text aims to promote a dialog among art, culture and technology in the face of a rapidly changing media landscape.
